An agreement under which a copyright holder (both recording and composing in a song or song) grants a non-exclusive, permanent license to a company wishing to “synchronize” the content with a video, audiovisual or multimedia production, including television shows, movies and video games. This is a sync license for a song written by a deceased party for use in an independent movie. As remuneration for the license granted, the company pays the licensor a predefined “synchronization fee”.
